Biorizon Biotech, Andalucía TRADE Award 2025 for Innovation and Knowledge Transfer
At Biorizon Biotech, we have something to celebrate. We have been recognized as winners of the 1st edition of the Andalucía TRADE Andalusian Company Awards 2025, in the Innovation and Knowledge Transfer category, a recognition that makes us especially proud as it highlights the work of our entire team.
This award, granted by the Regional Ministry of Economy, Finance, European Funds and Social Dialogue through Andalucía TRADE, highlights Andalusian companies that drive economic development, innovation, and international projection. In our case, the recognition is even more meaningful as we were selected from more than 300 applications and 47 provincial finalists.
The Innovation and Knowledge Transfer category recognizes companies that not only develop innovative solutions, but are also capable of bringing them into real-world application, generating a tangible impact on the productive sector. This has always been one of our main goals: ensuring that research does not remain in the laboratory, but reaches the field and the farmer.
Since our beginnings, we have worked as a multinational biotechnology company pioneering the development of biostimulants and biopesticides based on microalgae, bacteria, and plant extracts, with a clear objective: to contribute to a more sustainable and healthier agriculture capable of addressing the current challenges of the sector.
One of the aspects most highly valued by the jury was our commitment to knowledge transfer, strengthened through initiatives that connect research with practical application, such as the Biorizon Biotech–UAL Chair of Regenerative Agriculture 4.0. This project was created to continue generating knowledge and bringing it closer to the sector at a key moment for the transformation of the agricultural model.
As stated by our CEO, David Iglesias: “It is an honor for our project and for the entire team to receive this recognition. We are proud to bring our technology, developed in Almería, to the global stage, supporting the development of more sustainable and healthier agricultural practices.”
The Andalucía TRADE Awards were created with the aim of showcasing Andalusian business talent and its ability to compete internationally, recognizing initiatives that generate value, knowledge, and sustainable growth for the region.
